The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Clemson (UUFC) has been designated an anchor congregation for its outstanding campus ministry work at nearby Clemson University. A small mid-sized congregation, UUFC supports a campus chaplain and coordinates a group of UU faculty and staff to help run its campus ministry, called the Winchester Society. The chaplain writes a regular column for the congregation's newsletter, and the campus ministry committee reports annually to the congregation as a whole. Weekly meetings for worship and meditation are the cornerstone of Winchester Society programming, and are added to with regular involvement in social service and on-campus learning opportunities. The group seeks to provide campus programming on a variety of topics, including Ecology and the Sacred and making bisexual, gay, lesbian, and transgender (BGLT) students safe on campus.
