The Southern Poverty Law Center is located in Montgomery, Alabama, the birthplace of Juliette Hampton Morgan. This organization was founded by Unitarian Universalist Morris Dees and Joe Levin in 1971. It is internationally known for its tolerance education programs, its legal victories against white supremacists, and its tracking of hate groups. You can subscribe to Teaching Tolerance a magazine for educators.
