Faith In Action, Workshop 1: David and Goliath

In "Wisdom from the Hebrew Scriptures," a Tapestry of Faith program

Preparation for Activity

  • Invite someone from your congregation who has taken a courageous stance on behalf of justice to come and tell their story. When you consider whom to ask, do not overlook the youth and children of your congregation as potential guests.

Description of Activity

Invite your guest(s) to share their personal story of courage. Invite participants to ask questions and to share some of their own stories of courage. If it is appropriate, decide how workshop participants will support your guest's stance and social justice work.
