Materials for Activity

  • A copy of Singing the Living Tradition, the Unitarian Universalist hymnbook
  • Small table or stand for chalice
  • Chalice, candle and lighter or LED battery-operated candle

Preparation for Activity

  • Set up the chalice in the center of the circle.

Description of Activity

Gather the group in a circle. Ask a participant to light the chalice as you or another participant read the opening words.
