OWL-OUT Grant

Are you affiliated with an organization that offers, or would like to offer, Our Whole Lives (OWL) in a setting other than a congregation or Unitarian Universalist community? A school, prison, or community center can benefit from an Our Whole Lives program.

Such programs are known as OWL-Out. They are a unique way to spread comprehensive sexuality education and the Our Whole Lives values of self-worth, sexual health, responsibility, justice, and inclusivity in the world outside our congregations' walls.

For a limited time, the Faith Development Office of the Unitarian Universalist Association is able to offer one-time grants to a small number of new or existing OWL-Out programs. Programs must complete an application (Word) for these limited funds. Read the guidelines to make sure your program meets the qualifications.

OWL-Out Grant Guidelines

Entities may apply for a one-time grant of $1000, $500, or another amount under $1000 to help fund a comprehensive sexuality program using the Our Whole Lives curriculum in a non-congregational/non-UU community setting. The grant may be used to help start a new program or to fund a new initiative in a pre-existing program. It is not intended for maintenance of a program that already exists.

Deadline for applications is May 15, 2016.

Submit completed application and accompanying material to jyork [at] uua [dot] org or mail to Jessica York, UUA, 24 Farnsworth St., Boston, MA 02210-1409.

Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
