Can youth co-lead the Grades 10-12 curriculum with adults in the context of a youth group?
In keeping with Unitarian Universalist traditions of youth leadership development, the Grades 10-12 Our Whole Lives curriculum can provide an opportunity for youth to lead or co-lead some activities. It is important to have a complete team of adult facilitators before including a youth co-facilitator. A youth co-facilitator is supplemental to adult co-facilitators, not a replacement for an adult co-facilitator. Be sure the adult facilitators selected to work with the high school group support appropriate youth participation in decision-making and leadership. See the Introduction to Our Whole Lives Grades 10-12 for more details.
