When is the next Our Whole Lives Training of Trainers?
Applications are now being accepted for an Our Whole Lives (OWL) Training of Trainers to be held May 16-19, 2013 in Boston. This training will prepare new trainers to train OWL facilitators for Grades 7-12. The training will include the significant new OWL material in the 2013 edition of OWL Grades 7-9, such as social media, bullying, and new perspectives on gender identity and sexual violence. Current active trainers need not apply; they will have the opportunity to study the new material online through webinars. Contact the Unitarian Universalist Association 's (UUA's) OWL Program Associate Melanie Davis, (908) 722-1632 or mjdavis @ uua.org, with questions about this training or the OWL7-9 revision.
The UUA does not have a regular schedule for training Our Whole Lives (OWL) trainers (the people who plan and lead the trainings of Our Whole Lives facilitators). Factors that determine when a Training of Trainers (TOT) is offered include the number of active trainers, funding, and staff availability.
To indicate interest in becoming an OWL trainer, write to owl @ uua.org. Upcoming OWL TOTs will be announced on OWL email lists, on UUA.org, and on religious professionals email lists.
For more information contact owl @ uua.org.
