Taking It Home: Families and Faith
These booklets were written for congregations and families to use at home and in community to support them through life transitions and spiritual/ethical challenges.
Choose a booklet that interests or challenges you and your family and discover ways to talk about it. We hope these resources will help you deepen your faith and nurture your love as you learn and grow together.
These six booklets have been written by Unitarian Universalist (UU) leaders who have UU families of their own. We appreciate their faith-filled endeavors.
The following documents are PDF files:
- Let's Talk About Respect
Nancy Palmer-Jones & Pat Hoertdoerfer
- Let's Talk About Time/Money Balance
- Let's Talk About Marriage and Committed Relationships
Pat Hoertdoerfer & Lynn Ungar
- Let's Talk About Divorce and Broken Relationships
- Let's Talk About Families and Loss
- Let's Talk About Interfaith Families
We acknowledge the active role of the Family Matters Task Force members and our many companions in this booklet-writing adventure. Their ideas and words, activities and pictures, creativity and pizzazz appear on the pages of every booklet. We appreciate the funding support of the Unitarian Sunday School Society and the Fund for Unitarian Universalism.
May these booklets promote intergenerational conversations, family faith development and fun!
Pat Hoertdoerfer and Mary Higgins, project coordinators, with James Coomes, Erin Dunn, Hope Johnson, Keith Kron, Phillip Lund, Mike Morran, David Pettee and Lynn Ungar and booklet designer Dawn Cooley.
