Crystal Tears

by Richard Blissett

Free the soul
Release the heart
Crying shows us not to be weak
Shows us not to be fools
It shows us as the strong
Strong enough to know
Know that silence will torment us
Locks us in a rusty cage
Surrounded by monsters and demons
We only need the key of a teardrop
To free us from our imprisonment
Crystal tears upon the floor
Show us for who we are
We who understand shed tears more
But it does not make us weak
We care more
So we understand more
We understand more
So we absorb more
We absorb more
So we let loose our sorrow
Our pride
Our hatred
Our love
We set it free in crystal teardrops
Sooner or later
It'll be all right
We'll look back on our escape
And be glad we did it
So let it out my friend
Because everything has it's end
And until that end comes
We'll be here for you
