Unitarian Universalists Volunteer at Hope Community

Where: Hope Community, 611 East Franklin Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota, 55404.
What: The Unitarian Universalist Association's 2010 General Assembly (GA) service project is with Hope Community, a nonprofit community development organization that is revitalizing the Phillips neighborhood of Minneapolis. Unitarian Universalists visiting Minneapolis for GA will be volunteering at Hope's affordable housing locations on Friday, June 25, and Saturday, June 26.
Donations for Hope will be accepted during the offertory at the GA Sunday morning worship service on June 27. Last year's GA service project raised over $30,000.
Volunteers will be painting at the Dundry House on Friday morning, 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Photographs are welcome.

The 2010 General Assembly (GA) of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) will be held June 23-27 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the Minneapolis Convention Center. More than 3,400 Unitarian Universalists from across the country will gather at the 2010 GA to worship, celebrate, and take part in the democratic process that guides the work of this religious association of over 1,000 congregations. GA is the annual meeting of the UUA and is held each June in a different UUA district. More information is available online in the 2010 GA press room.
