Black Lives Matter Banner Dedication at OUUC

On August 7th at 12:30 pm, the Olympia Unitarian Universalist Congregation (OUUC) will dedicate its new Black Lives Matter banner on the church at 2315 Division St. NW, Olympia. The banner is a visible statement of OUUC’s commitment to address racism, implicit bias, and inequality. It is also a response to the national Unitarian Universalist Association’s call for its member congregations to support the Black Lives Matter movement and black-led organizations working for racial justice. The dedication ceremony will be led by the Reverend Thomas Perchlik, OUUC’s newly called minister.

OUUC offers forums and workshops to develop deeper understanding of the interconnected nature of racism with all systems of bias. The public is invited to join these conversations about ways to build a community that is equitable for all. For more information, contact faithinactionministry@ouuc.org
