Dawn coordinates the marketing and delivery of 40+ New England regional workshops, trainings, and web-based learning events per year. This involves managing many details: scheduling presenters, booking venues, purchasing food, coordinating onsite logistics, hospitality volunteers, audio-visual equipment, tracking registrations and payments, communicating event details, creating and reviewing feedback surveys, processing expenses and honorariums. Dawn also provides technical support for online learning events, tracks event metrics, and helps plan the events budget.
Dawn facilitates regional communications with 6,000+ Unitarian Universalist religious professionals and lay leaders in New England. This involves gathering, editing, designing and writing copy for event marketing, regional announcements, newsletters, web and social media. One of Dawn's primary goals is to build regional interest in learning events, resulting in maximum attendance for congregational learning and growth.
From 2007-2014, Dawn served as a congregational office administrator and held many volunteer leadership roles in her home church. Dawn coordinated the General Assembly 2014 Home Hospitality program in Providence, RI, which yielded great fundraising results for participating area churches. Dawn has a background in graphic design, website development, photography and fine arts.
As a lifelong Unitarian Universalist, Dawn is delighted to serve our faith professionally and for new opportunities to grow spiritually. Dawn recently particpated in a Developmental Model of Intercultural Sensitivity (DMIS) training and Renaissance Module: Ministry with Youth. She also co-led a webinar "Lifting Up Your Spiritual Leadership" for Congregational Administrators.
