UUA to hold public worship service for Marriage Equality

Tonight (March 10) from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., the Unitarian Universalist Association headquarters in Boston will hold a special worship service in honor of same-sex couples and in support of marriage equality. The event is free and open to the public.
The program will feature the premier of a newly commissioned hymn, "Standing on the Side of Love," by Nashville composer Jason Shelton.
The service will conclude at 6:25 p.m. and participants will be invited to join other supporter of marriage equality at the candlelight vigil at the State House.
Participants will include:
- The Rev. David Pettee—Director of Ministerial Credentialing, UUA
- The Rev. Keith Kron—Director of the Office of Bisexual, Gay, Lesbian and Transgender Concerns, UUA
- The Rev. Lucinda Duncan—Senior Minister, Follen Community Church, Lexington, MA (homilist)
Carmen Griggs and Diana Miller
- Stan Strickland—Singer, saxophonist and flautist, Berklee School of Music
- Jeannie Gagne—recording artist, composer, Berklee School of Music
