Beacon Broadside Honors Veterans with Week-long Coverage

In observance of Veteran's Day, Beacon Broadside will publish stories by and about vets of three wars that honor their service and give voice to their experience and concerns.Among the stories featured:
- Marcus Eriksen (My River Home): photos and a personal story about a sculpture he created in memory of the first victim of the
Gulf War he encountered.
- Penny Coleman (Flashback: Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Suicide,
and the Lessons of War) on the psychological costs of war to those
who wage it.
- Helen Benedict (The Lonely Soldier: Woman at War in Iraq, forthcoming from Beacon Press) on sexual harassment and the experiences of women in the military.
