UUA Districts & Regions

Our staff team travels throughout New England learning about the challenges and hopes of congregational leaders, studying religious thought and trends, developing shared approaches with colleagues to support congregational life in service of Unitarian Universalism. While there are common approaches to our work with congregational leaders, each staff member specializes in an aspect of congregational life for which they can provide focused expertise. We are pleased to share with you vision and strategy papers that define some of our work with New England congregations. Contact us for coaching, support and learning opportunities in any area of congregational life.

NEW: Death of Sunday School and the Future of Faith Formation (PDF)

In Spring of 2017, the New England Region published a paper identifying the present day failure of the Sunday school model of religious education, signaling a call for the reformation of our faith formation ministries. This paper casts a vision for the future of faith formation which requires the collaborative efforts of our religious professionals, lay leaders, families, and congregations.
