The Con
By this time somebody has either told you, "Hey, there's a Con going on this weekend, Marisa, John, Sara, everyone's gonna be there. Wanna come?" At this point you either say, "Sorry, too much homework," or, "Sure, but what's a Con?" Your friend replies with a really quick speech about games and workshops, friends, songs, worship, hugs, and everything that she can possibly tell you in the space of three minutes before class starts. She hands you a registration flyer, and runs off to get into English before the teacher decides to start handing out detention slips. You're left with a bewildered look and a flyer with all types of stuff written on it. That flyer has all the information about the Con [conference] in a short little format (to save trees and the cost of mailing, copying, etc.) In it are rules and such. You can check your district for specific rules. I'm just going to give you an overview (just the facts, please). For more information contact youth @ uua.org.
