Manager Guide: Subscribing / Unsubscribing
Add People to Your List
To subscribe one or more members to your list, go to http://lists.uua.org/mailman/admin/listname/members/add ("Mass Subscription").
If you are subscribing people on their request, click the "Subscribe" option in answer to the question, "Subscribe these users now or invite them?" If you are not sure whether the individual has given approval for their address to be added to this list, choose the "Invite" option.
Enter one email address per line in the first text box. The format:
...is perfectly fine, and will subscribe those email addresses to the list. An email to the list from one of these subscribers would show up with the format "mail from: email@example.com".
"One Name" <firstname.lastname@example.org>
"Another Name" <email@example.com>
...will subscribe those email addresses to the list, and will also store the users' names. An email to the list from one of these subscribers would show up with the format "mail from: One Name".
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Submit Your Changes" button.
Remove People from Your List
To unsubscribe a member of your list, go to http://lists.uua.org/mailman/admin/listname/members ("Membership Management...") and find the member's email address in the alphabetical listings. Check the "unsub" box for that member, then click the "Submit Your Changes" button at the bottom of the page.
