The First UU Society gathers students at the University of Vermont for biweekly campus ministry programs led by a paid student coordinator and supported by the congregation's minister. Programs involve regular worship and discussion, as well as social justice projects such as collecting textbooks for children in Africa. The congregation supports campus ministry through its budget as well as by hosting potluck dinners for students and providing the support of lay leadership within the congregation.
Received Anchor Congregation designation in 2005.
