First, please see Covenanting Congregations to learn more about the benefits to your congregation of covenanting for the use of The Uncommon Denomination resources. Consider joining more than eighty congregations who have made this commitment.

And then you are ready to move on and start thinking about what it would be like for your congregation to use The Uncommon Denomination resources! Here are your next steps:
- Email us to receive the Before You Begin questionnaire and complete it and submit it to us: uncommondenomination @ uua.org.
- Take time to use The Congregational Assessment (Word) (PDF, 7 pages) process to identify aspects of how your practices of welcome and inclusion can be improved—and identify the steps needed to make the improvements.
- Share your learnings with us. The assessment can help you to use these resources well; and by sharing your results with us, you help us improve our support to our congregations.
- When you finish with these elements, use the Hospitality and Belonging resources about becoming more welcoming and hospitable to seekers, guests, and new members.
- Then, if you plan to use any media resources, review the information on Buying Media.
