Supplies Needed for a Social Justice Empowerment Workshop

These supplies are to be provided by the congregation for a workshop.

  1. A tape player for playing music on cassette tapes.
  2. A large block of newsprint with at least thirty sheets.  This newsprint must be at least 27 inches by 33 inches in size.
  3. An easel to put the newsprint on.
  4. Masking tape for tacking up the newsprint.
  5. Packets of three by five cards.  To determine the number necessary, take the number of participants and multiply by three.
  6. Ten pencils (for those people who forget to bring something to write with).
  7. Regular size name tags for each person.

If the workshop is held on both Friday night and Saturday morning, please purchase two sets of name tags.  That way there will be extras for people who forget to bring them on Saturday morning.

These supplies are to be provided by the Office for Congregational Advocacy & Witness:

  1. The office will ship copies of the Social Justice Empowerment Handbook for each participant in the workshop.
  2. The facilitators doing the workshop will provide magic markers.

Payment for Supplies:

The church will cover all costs for the training supplies ($3.00 per copy). The costs for the participants' handbooks are covered in the congregational fee that is paid to the Unitarian Universalist Association.
