Glossary
This section defines terms used in this report, in the context of their current usage in our Unitarian Universalist denomination.
Laity: A participant in a Congregation, other than Clergy; the backbone of religious institutions, often thought of as the "people in the pews," described by Unitarian Universalist theologian James Luther Adams as active participants in "the prophethood of all believers."
