Renewal Evaluations
Basic Criteria: To be eligible for renewals your ministry needs to meet the criteria defined in Rule 13 B of the Ministerial Fellowship Committee (MFC) Rules (PDF).Time Frame: MFC Rules specify that no person in Preliminary Fellowship shall remain in any one renewal period (First Renewal, Second Renewal or Final Renewal) for more than three years, so movement to Final Fellowship status can take anywhere between three and nine years. There is an expectation that the process will move ahead as steadily as is possible.
Evaluation Forms and Process: A complete Renewal packet should contain the following segments:
- Church Organization Profile
- Self Evaluation
- Committee on Ministry Evaluation
- Governing Board Evaluation
- Development Agreement
- Mentor Form
- Afilliation form (only if you are a community minister)
Evaluation Forms: In order to be evaluated, you must supply the Committee with an evaluation forms from the following persons or groups:
- Yourself
- Governing Board, or Supervisory Board, or Supervisor
- Committee on Ministry
As a guide to completion of the evaluation forms, we recommend that:
- The committees prepare a consensus report.
- The column "area for growth" be used to indicate areas where additional study would be helpful.
- Comments be made, both positive and to mark areas of inadequate performance.
- Supervisors should indicate both their name and title.
Supplement Forms: In addition to the three evaluations, a minister must submit a Development Agreement, a mentor form and a Church/Organization profile. Community Ministers are required to demonstrate proof of congregational affiliation by filling out an Endorsement form.

All forms must be returned in duplicate. The text portions must be typed. Failure to do so delays and jeopardizes the review and renewal of your Fellowship Status. alternatively renewals can be sent in via email or fax.
