Regional Sub-Committees on Candidacy
The Regional Sub-Committees on Candidacy (RSCCs) are sub-committees of the Ministerial Fellowship Committee (MFC.) The MFC has jurisdiction over all phases of ministerial credentialing.One important function of the Regional Sub-Committees on Candidacy (RSCCs) is to make early decisions regarding Candidacy Status. This function includes providing honest feedback to pre-candidates who are judged suitable for the ministry as well as to those who are not. A second function is to provide accurate information to potential candidates on the pre-candidating process, and offer opportunities for support, discernment and formation.
The Regional Sub-Committees on Candidacy are appointed by the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) Committee on Committees. Each committee has on it four clergy members and three lay members serving two year terms, renewable to a total of eight years of service. The RSCCs are supported by designated paid staff within the regions. Contact information for those staff members is available below:

In March 2007 the Ministerial Fellowship Committee made the decision to close down the Canada RSCC. This decision in no way reflects any concern on the part of the committee for the fine care and evaluation that has been offered to and received by Canadian aspirants and candidates over the years.
