The online edition of UU World, which publishes new articles each week, has the following story of special interest to lay leaders:
The UU (Unitarian Universalist) Community Church of Washington County in Hillsboro, OR, installed an environmentally friendly parking lot, perfect for once-a-week heavy use. Neither the church nor its neighbors wanted an expanse of concrete. The church opted for GrassPave2, a special surface that has to be mowed, but eliminates most water runoff and satisfies the city's parking requirement.
