Starting a Memorial Society

Q. We are interested in starting a memorial society. Can you tell us where to get information?
A. Contact the Funeral Consumers Alliance (FCA) at 33 Patchen Road, South Burlington, VT 05403; ( 800) 765-0107. FCA is a nonprofit, educational organization that monitors funeral industry trends and practices nationally and publishes educational materials on funeral choices.
Information about memorial societies can also be obtained from many Unitarian Universalist (UU) congregations that either support or have knowledge of local societies.
