Electronic Newsletter More Fun Than Paper
December 15, 2006
The Pacific Central District of the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations is using a new weekly online newsletter format from Constant Contact that is suitable for districts or congregations.District Executive Cilla Raughley says the online newsletter costs $35 a month to produce, compared to up to $3,000 for the district's former hard copy newsletter, which was sent three times a year. The online version permits timely news, higher circulation, has easy to use and modify templates, and permits hyperlinks.
The links make it fun, says Raughley. Subscribers can listen to selections from the new hymnal supplement, see the video of the Rev. Kathleen McTigue on the Bill O'Reilly show, and read an Alban Institute article on congregational conflict.
