Background

In 2004, Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations (UUA) President William G. Sinkford began working with Emily Mitchell and Tim Nielsen, principals of Nielsen Design Group, to produce a new corporate identity for the UUA staff. It was intended that this identity would distinguish all UUA materials with a mark of quality and integrity and offer a visual representation of a modern and dynamic faith.

Now, the UUA's staff is pleased to share these materials with members of our Unitarian Universalist congregations for your use. This logo is trademarked by the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations and may only be used by UUA member or emerging congregations to identify their congregations and programs. The purpose of these instructions is to answer some of your questions about these materials and to help our congregation and district leaders use them properly. Please read our frequently asked questions for more information on the new logo design and its use.
