April 2007: Programs on Race & Ethnicity; Updating CEBS

Dear Friends,

As of April 2 at 4 p.m., you will find a completely new website at UUA.org. The new site is streamlined and user-friendly, with different sections for visitors, members, and leaders. Visit UUA.org and discover the many new features and fresh content! For more information, see the enclosed flyer.

Coming up in the next year are two important UUA programs relating to race and ethnicity: the spring 2009 "Now is the Time" conference, and a new race and ethnicity congregational program titled "Building the World We Dream About." Applications for field testing the congregational program are due May 1st. For more information on both of these opportunities, see the enclosed flyers.

The members of your congregation who will be attending this year's General Assembly (GA) in Portland, OR, may be interested in the enclosed information and registration form for UU University, which will be held just before GA. Your congregation's GA delegates will be pleased to find a letter enclosed with further resources explaining the new Open Space process that will dictate the business conducted at GA.

You will also find information in this mailing on how to give feedback online for your Annual Congregational Elected Board and Staff (CEBS) packet, the recent work of the Advocacy and Witness staff, an ongoing UUA Bookstore sale, and a new religious education resource from the Church of the Larger Fellowship (CLF).

Please feel free to print extra copies of the materials included here and to share this information with others.

In Faith,
Erika Nonken
Public Information Assistant
