April 2008: Preparation for General Assembly
Dear Friends,
Gearing up for General Assembly (GA) this summer, we have a few items to kick preparation into gear. Lifespan Faith Development announces their workshops: learn about the new Our Whole Lives curricula, discuss classism in Unitarian Universalism (UUism) or improve your adult education skills. For those interested in hearing more about serving on a committee, see the Nominating Committee application and attend the Nominating Committee Workshop and Reception at General Assembly this summer. There is information on GA Delegate credentials and FAQ’s to help congregations decide who should attend GA. And don’t forget, registration for UU University is now open, so sign up to learn new skills to energize your congregation!
Explore new fundraising techniques: see the flyer on electronic giving solutions. Designed to increase website donations, manage your annual budget drive financial commitments and help reduce time spent on processing donations, Vanco’s electronic funds transfer solution has helped thousands of congregations streamline their electronic giving.
Don’t get caught unprepared for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Coming of Age graduations or any other special day. Check out the selection of gifts available from the Church of the Larger Fellowship (CLF) and find a wonderful gift for another UU.
Please feel free to print extra copies of the materials included here and share this information with others.
In peace,
