The Sharing Global Faith Fund

The U/U International Joint Working Group is excited to announce the establishment of the “Sharing Global Faith” Fund. This fund will support programs that increase the vibrancy and numbers of Unitarian and UU communities around the world. Specifically, it will provide support for:

  • New U/U communities around the world.
  • Global U/U Outreach and Growth initiatives.
  • Global U/U theological and religious leadership training programs.

Please include a special offering during your Torda450 anniversary worship service to support these essential global ministries. And, please use this donation page to send in your contribution.

Project funding decisions are made cooperatively by the UU International Joint Working Group (JWG) which consists of the senior staff of the International Council of Unitarians and Universalists (ICUU), the International Office of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA), and the Unitarian Universalist Partner Church Council (UUPCC). The current members of the JWG are Rev. Sara Ascher (ICUU), Rev. Eric Cherry (UUA International) and Rev. Roger Bertschausen (UUPCC)

Process to Request Funding

Unitarian/Universalist congregations and organizations may apply fo Sharing the Global Faith funds to support projects that promote and strengthen: ​

  • New U/U communities around the world.
  • Global U/U Outreach and Growth initiatives.
  • Global U/U theological and religious leadership training programs.

Requests for funds should be submitted to Rev. Eric Cherry (international@uua.org), Rev. Sara Ascher (sara.ascher@icuu.net), or Rev. Roger Bertschausen (execdir@uupcc.org). Requests should describe the project to be funded, a general budget for the project, the amount of money requested (and how the rest of the project budget will be raised), and an explanation of how the project meets one or more of the criteria outlined above.
