Hello Unitarian Universalist community!

My name is Noorjahan Aktar and I am excited to be a part of the team at the Unitarian Universalist Office at the United Nations this year. As a UU@UN intern, some of my duties include spearheading events, writing blog posts, and reporting relevant information back to the office. One event I will be working on is the yearly Spring Seminar in April where we will connect with speakers and participants globally.

Currently, I am a senior at SUNY New Paltz pursuing a major in Political Science along with a minor in Studio Arts. I am passionate about fighting for human rights and learning more about developing educational spaces regarding local and global social justice. I am looking forward to learning more about advocacy, NGOs, and INGOs. Although I am still learning about possible career paths to pursue, I believe this internship will give a well-rounded experience to build a strong foundation and help guide me in the right direction.

I truly value the work this organization is doing and thank you for welcoming me into the Unitarian Universalist family.

We're proud to introduce all of our 2020-2021 academic interns:
