In March 2008, 306 people from 53 large Unitarian Universalist congregations, and from the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) staff, gathered in Louisville, Kentucky, for the Seventh National Large Congregations Conference. The Conference is held triennially.
During the Conference several worship services, a few presentations, and thirty-two workshops were presented, in addition to a one-day theme presentation. Some of the content from these sessions is included here in this coverage.
Opening Worship (PDF) led by Davidson Loehr, Senior Minister, First UU Church of Austin, Texas.
Susan Beaumont, Senior Consultant, The Alban Institute, led conference participants in plenary sessions, with some small group work, in a full-day program about lay and staff leaders using power ethically in our larger congregations.
Read descriptions of all thirty-two workshops, and see handouts and presentation materials where available.
