How much should we ask for?
We ask that each member and minister contribute individually as part of a special collection during services on Association Sunday.
We will provide each congregation with pledge envelopes, talking points, worship materials, and other tools to make it easy to participate.
Starting with Association Sunday 2009, we will be honoring two Empowering Congregations in each district: the congregation giving the largest total amount and the congregation giving the largest amount per member.
If you or a member of your congregation wish to make a leadership contribution, matching gift, stock gift, or bequest to benefit Association Sundays, please email us at associationsunday @ uua.org, or call Devin Letzer, the Program Coordinator for Association Sunday at (617) 948-6544.
We are asking ministers, who are the embodiment of the Association for their congregations, to consider making a leadership contribution of one percent of their salary and housing, and announcing this that Sunday.
