Where are the gifts invested?
The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) has a long-standing business arrangement with State Street Global Advisors in Boston. Donations to the pooled income fund and for charitable gift annuities are deposited in special trust accounts at State Street and invested in stocks and bonds. Six individual charitable trusts are managed at State Street through the UUA Charitable Gift and Estate Planning office. The bank holds the funds in trust until the donors die.
