Growing Our Spirit
Through funding initiatives to support Growing our Spirit, we celebrate the many ways people of all ages come together in Unitarian Universalist communities to nurture their souls. This involves learning how Unitarian Universalists develop faith, and encouraging vital, transforming worship. It includes strategies to help us inspire one another with our stories of liberation, and empower us to turn inspiration into significant action.
Funding Ideas
- Renewing Worship in Congregations: to assess Unitarian Universalist congregational worship, to recommend best practices, and to develop and share useful resources.
- Expanding the WorshipWeb: to support and revitalize worship by offering more inclusive and comprehensive resources on our WorshipWeb.
- Support for Large Church Ministerial Candidates: to better prepare and support seminary students on their path to becoming Large Church ministers.
- Nurture Our Youth: to provide better education and continuing education to help ministers play a key role in the spiritual nurture of youth.
- Congregational Leadership Training and Development Website: to develop an online curriculum and support distance education for lay leaders.
These are just five of the many funding ideas that have been proposed.
To grow our SPIRIT, we must create many plans designed to energize our faith community—to help keep the light of UUism burning within all of us. We welcome, we want and we need your optimism, faith and love—as well as your ideas, dreams, comments and proposals for funding—in all five areas of the Now is the Time campaign.
