Modeled on the District Compensation consultants program, this permanent project would provide consultants to work interactively with congregations to encourage generosity among their members. Development of a new generation of resources in the form of worship materials, guidance in how to talk about money, how to encourage “testimony” opportunities for congregants who choose make financial commitments to Unitarian Universalist (UU) entities will be an essential part of the initiative. As with the compensation consultants, these “generosity consultants” would be volunteers whose expenses are paid.- $600,000 would allow us to create 10 teams per district for one year.
