youth ministries within the Transylvania Unitarian Church, and to create a public awareness

Emerging Groups at ICUU Council
2007
To support emerging groups, especially in Africa, by
bringing representative leaders to the ICUU conference in Germany in
November. The conference will create linkages, form a broader global Unitarian Universalist (UU) community
identity, and cultivate and train leaders.

International Convocation for UU Women: Cultural
Literacy and Scholarship Program
For the development and promotion of a curriculum to
educate and engage UUs in participating in and providing scholarship funds to
bring women from abroad to the International Convocation of UU Women which will
be held in Houston in February 2009.

To support the first purely Unitarian radio outlet in
Transylvania, one that gives Unitarians a
chance to express their voice and promote their progressive values. TUR operates
online and encourages broadcasting by youth, ministers, lay leaders and

UU Holdeen India Documentary
Video
For distribution of a video to document the human
rights work supported by the UU Holdeen India Program. The intent is to reach
UUs and general audiences in the US and inspire more UU involvement in
international struggles for human rights.

Nataban Energy Tree Farm Phase
I
For a program to plant fast-growing energy crop trees
to replant stripped land and restore the depleted, deforested environment. The
project will provide income to the UUCP for its operation and ministry and
strengthen the UUCP structure.

Center Site and
Renovations
For a building and renovation program to improve or
replace seven deteriorating chapels, the UUCP National Office and expand the
UUCP
Kiddie Center. This will provide UUs with
permanent physical structures and build the faith with a sense of pride and
security.

Global Partnerships Through Community Capacity Building
To support the Global Capacity Building Program as it
makes the transition from a pilot program to an integrated program. The program
provides tools for partner churches to work together on needs assessments
leading to community action plans. The next steps will engage partners in
Transylvania, the Philippines, India and possibly Africa.

Drawing the Social Map of the Transylvanian Unitarian Church
For a social map that will identify the most severe
problems faced by congregations of the Transylvanian Church. The outcome will inform strategies
to deliver churchsponsored social services and participate in advocacy
programs.
