Love Letters Campaign: Put a Stamp on Social Justice
The Unitarian Universalist Association’s (UUA’s) Love Letters Campaign allows you to give the gift of social justice!
Your contribution will support important programs and, at the same time, honor a friend or family member with a beautiful card complete with a description of the program and an optional personal message from you.
Every card you send will honor its recipient with a donation to support the Association's work in your choice of three areas:
Cultural Diversity: Support the work of the UUA in welcoming, nurturing, and sustaining every person who seeks a liberal religious home within Unitarian Universalism.
Environmental Justice: Support the work of the UUA’s Green Sanctuary program to assist congregations in teaching and demonstrating environmental stewardship and working towards environmental justice.
Marriage Equality: Support the UUA’s legislative advocacy work, nationwide activism, and social justice work to achieve full equality for bisexual, gay, lesbian, and transgender persons, including marriage equality.
By choosing the "marriage equality" card, your donation will help pay for a marriage equality banner to be displayedon the large tower of the Salt Palace Convention Center in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City during this year’s General Assembly in June. Utah residents donated $2.6 million in 2008—more than any other state outside California—to support the passage of Proposition 8, which banned same-sex marriage in California. Displaying our “Marriage is a Civil Right” banner will send a strong message that we are standing on the side of love.
How to Give
Please make your donation, choose a card, and provide the recipient information.
The UUA will prepare the card(s) with your personal message and send them to the address you specify!*
If you are sending more than one card, please complete the order form with YOUR information and the payment information, AND send an email to campaign @ uua.org with the following information:
- recipients’ name
- recipients’ salutation
- recipients’ address
- personal message
- the type of card you would like us to send them
We prefer information in Excel format with a column heading for each of the above categories, but will accept information however you can send it!

The suggested donation to send a card / cards is as follows:
- $25 = one card
- $125 = up to 10 cards
- $250 = up to 25 cards
- $500 = up to 60 cards
