Knoxville New York Times Ad Fund
In the wake of the horrifying acts of violence in Knoxville, Tennessee, we are seeking to place full page ads in several publications—including the New York Times, USA Today, and the Knoxville News Sentinel—the first of which appeared in the New York Times on Sunday, August 10th.
As of August 11th, 2008, we have raised $140,000!
These ads will invite their readers to stand in solidarity with those affected. They will honor those who lost their lives. They will extol the heroism of those who risked their lives to protect others. And they will proclaim what we stand for as a people of faith.
Take a look at the draft copy.
Donate now to put it on the pages of several publications.

In response to this tragic event and the media reports about it, we are called to publicly define who we are and what we stand for as Unitarian Universalists. Now is the time to let the world know that we will continue to stand on the side of love—even, and especially, during these complicated times.
