Unitarian Universalist Ministry for Earth Environmental Justice Conference
Restoring the Web of Creation: Justice and Joy for All
The Unitarian Universalist Ministry for Earth (UUMFE) is partnering with the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) and Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) to offer an extraordinary, first-of-its-kind, national environmental justice leadership development event for Unitarian Universalists.
This conference will offer an intensive 3½ day program designed with two over-arching goals in mind:
- to enable us as Unitarian Universalists (UUs) to more fully integrate our spiritual life and religious identity with our activism; and,
- to enable the racial and environmental justice work in our denomination to advance to the next level.
Through plenary sessions, workshops, worship services, and field trips, this conference will engage the whole person—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. It sets ambitious goals for inclusion of UUs who are youth and young adults and people of color.
UUMFE is moving into a new phase of its work, seeking to model Unitarian Universalist values in its advocacy for the planet. Now is the time for new partnerships and a concerted effort to teach UUs all over the country how their religious values can inform their activism. This conference is a bold move in that direction—and only YOU can make it possible.
Help us bring tools, messages and inspiration to many more Unitarian Universalists by offering a generous gift to the National Conference on Environmental Justice Leadership Development.
