Joseph B. Gittler Scholarship in Ethics and Religion

The Panel on Theological Education of the Unitarian Universalist Association is receiving applications for grants up to $2,500 from Unitarian Universalist clergy who are pursuing advanced studies in ministry (Doctor of Ministry and other graduate programs) with a focus on ethics and religion and are at the final thesis or project stage.

To apply, submit the following:
  • Letter of inquiry
  • Curriculum vitae with contact information and institutional affiliation
  • D.Min. (or other graduate-level) project proposal (750 words maximum)
  • Letter of reference from an individual familiar with the candidate’s leadership in a Unitarian Universalist congregation or UUA-related institution
  • Confidential letter of reference from D.Min. (or graduate studies) advisor
  • Timeline for completion of the project and/or research
  • Budget
