Applying for grant from the President’s Freedom to Marry Fund is relatively easy. The following steps are listed to help you apply for a grant:
The grant request has no length or style requirements, though err on the side of just enough information and not too much.
Freedom to Marry grants are generally for less than $1,000, but in compelling circumstances larger grants will be considered. Grants will be determined for approval by a committee of the Unitarian Universalist Association's Multicultural Growth & Witness staff. Our goal is to respond to your grant application within two weeks of receipt; checks are typically issued within two weeks of approval. Grant requests are more likely to be given for upcoming events as opposed to events that have already happened.
