Exhibiting at General Assembly

Join the Justice GA Expo

In addition to a multitude of learning, enrichment, and worship opportunities, General Assembly (GA) offers numerous ways to meet and network with other Unitarian Universalists (UU) and UU-related organizations. The Exhibit Hall is always a popular focal point; it provides a gathering place, rest stop, food concession, and marketplace for GA attendees. The GA Exhibit Hall is open to all GA registrants.

In 2012, we seek UU exhibitors as well as other human rights and service organizations, past exhibitors and vendors of goods sold to benefit human rights and justice causes. The Justice GA Expo will be an important networking hub for the exchange of information and ideas. Our planning teams will work with exhibitors on ways to support the themes of migration, economic justice and greater participation of traditionally marginalized groups. Each 5 day booth will be making a minimum donation of $150 to further this justice work.

In addition, Arizona community partners will be invited to utilize table space on Sunday, June 24 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. when the Justice GA Expo is open to the public. We will have a number of skirted tables set up in a prominent area of the exhibit hall that will be free for community partners to disseminate information, talk to attendees and the public, and sell items if desired. If your organization is in Arizona and works with issues of migration, economic justice or supporting traditionally marginalized groups you may be eligible to take advantage of this Sunday only space opportunity. To request space please contact Sandra Weir at azim@phoenixuu.org. Once you are affirmed as one of our community partners you will receive a space request form. Space is limited and registration will be closed when capacity is met.

Finally, a small number of 10’ x 10’ spaces in the 5 day exhibit hall may be available at a subsidized rate. Contact Sandra Weir at azim@phoenixuu.org if you are a potential community partner wanting to take advantage of the opportunity for a 5 day exhibit hall space.

For more information on exhibiting for the full five days at GA, read the 2012 Exhibitor's Prospectus (PDF). The deadline for reserving space in the Justice GA Expo is February 15.

Exhibit space cannot be assigned without agreement to the Exhibit Space Terms & Conditions (PDF).

Alternately, exhibitors may pledge service hours to be completed on their own, unrelated to activities at General Assembly. If 40 service hours are pledged, that booth will be acknowledged on the GA blog and be entered into a raffle to be featured more in-depth on our blog explaining your organization and how the pledged hours will be spent.

Each booth includes:

  • 8-ft-high back drape and 3-ft-high side drape
  • One 7" x 44" one-line ID sign
  • One waste basket
  • One 6-foot table and two chairs
  • Two Exhibit Hall Security Passes

Exhibitors will receive a packet from the decorator with information on how to order additional tables and chairs, as well as phone lines, electrical outlets, audio-visual equipment, carpeting, and custom decorating.

Exhibiting at General Assembly does not equal endorsement by the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA).

The Unitarian Universalist Association is committed to a diverse marketplace of ideas. Participation in our exhibit hall does not necessarily mean the UUA endorses the position of any given exhibitor.

Security in the Justice GA Expo

Everyone in the GA Exhibit Hall must display either a valid GA registration name badge or an Exhibit Hall Security Pass at all times. An Exhibit Hall Security Pass will be required for admittance to the Hall during set-up and break-down times (one hour before opening and one hour after closing each day). The Security Pass is transferable but ONLY those with a Security Pass will be admitted during these hours. This policy will be enforced without exception.

If you will have more than two people simultaneously working at your booth who are not otherwise registered for General Assembly, you must purchase additional Security Passes for them. If you need more than two people working at your booth during set-up or break-down times, you must purchase additional Security Passes for them. Additional Security Passes and replacements for lost passes will be $10 each.

For more information contact gaexhibits@uua.org.

This work is made possible by the generosity of individual donors. Please consider making a donation today.
