Office of Youth Ministries Events
The Office of Youth Ministries coordinates, sponsors, and provides support for several events for youth each year. The Office of Youth Ministries defines "youth" at people who are 14 to 20 year old. Many events also have some space available for adults, often in an advisor capacity.The largest of these is the General Assembly Youth Caucus, which brings together all youth attendees of General Assembly.
YSJT is the Youth Social Justice Training, an annual event which brings together District Social Action Coordinators and other youth interested in social justice issues.YSJT will not be happening during the 2007-2008 year in order to re-vision the role of social justice in youth ministry.
Each spring, Diverse and Revolutionary Unitarian Universalist Multicultural Ministries Youth and Young Adults (DRUUMM YaYA) host a Spring Summit for youth and young adults of color.
There is often a corresponding White Allies Spring Summit for white youth and young adults striving to be anti-racist allies.
