Housing & Hospitality for Minneapolis 2010

GA Housing Reservation System

We encourage all General Assembly (GA) attendees to please use the General Assembly Housing Reservation System. We block local hotel rooms to ensure rooms will be available to our attendees. Contracting with hotels for guest rooms also guarantees the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) will receive meeting and function space for GA.

We recognize that the cost associated with attending the General Assembly can be prohibitive for some. Accordingly, we are constantly working to find affordable housing for these individuals as well as providing financial aid in the form of scholarship and volunteer programs.

As of March 1, you may make reservations using one of these three methods:

  1. Make your reservation online
  2. Complete a reservation form (PDF) and submit it by fax
  3. Complete a reservation form (PDF) and submit it by mail

As a method of last resort, you may also call the local housing bureau. However, please be advised that the housing bureau is not equipped to handle a high call volume.

Room Rates/Taxes
The special GA convention rates are only guaranteed through (TBD - approximately May 7), at which time rates will be subject to change. All rates are per room per night, are subject to a room tax (subject to change) and include fees paid to the Minneapolis Convention and Visitors Association. The hotels will assign specific room types upon check-in, based upon availability. Please be advised that requests for specific room types cannot be guaranteed.

Modification/Cancellation
You may continue to make, modify and/or cancel reservations from February 1 through June 15 at no charge. Cancellations and changes must be made in writing by email. Any cancellations or changes made after 5:00pm EST on June 15, 2010, must be made directly with the hotel. No-Shows and cancellations made within 72 hours of the arrival date may result in a charge to your credit card for a one night stay.

Acknowledgments will be sent after all reservation bookings, modifications, and cancellations. Please carefully review your acknowledgement for accuracy. If you do not receive an acknowledgement via e-mail, fax, or mail within ten days, please contact the UUA Housing Bureau.

Minneapolis Hotels

Minneapolis hotels will be posted here when our contracts have been finalized.

We also have secured a limited number of rooms at the University of Minnesota.

Information about home hospitality (bed and breakfast style accommodations) with local UU hosts will be posted here when available.
