Housing & Hospitality for Fort Lauderdale 2008
We encourage all General Assembly (GA) attendees to use the General Assembly Housing
Reservation System. You may make reservations using any one of these methods:

As a method of last resort, you may also call the Greater Fort Lauderdale Housing Bureau at (877) 664-4774, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. EST. However, please be advised that the housing bureau is not equipped to handle a high call volume.
We recognize that the cost associated with attending the General Assembly can be prohibitive for some. Accordingly, we are constantly working to find affordable housing for these individuals as well as providing financial aid in the form of scholarship and volunteer programs.
Room Rates/Taxes
The special GA convention rates are only guaranteed through May 15, at which time rates will be subject to change. All rates are per room per night, are subject to a 11% tax (subject to change) and include fees paid to the Fort Lauderdale CVB. The hotels will assign specific room types upon check-in, based upon availability. Please be advised that requests for specific room types cannot be guaranteed.
Modification/Cancellation
You may continue to make, modify and/or cancel reservations through June 18 at no charge. Cancellations and changes must be made in writing by email to gflhousing @ broward.org. Any cancellations or changes made after 5:00 p.m. EST on June 18, 2008 must be made directly with the hotel. No-Shows and cancellations made within 72 hours of the arrival date may result in a charge to your credit card for a one night stay.Fort Lauderdale Hotels
We have secured rooms for our GA attendees at several area hotels convenient to the convention center and to Fort Lauderdale attractions. The General Assembly Planning Committee has arranged for complimentary shuttle buses to travel between the nine GA contracted hotels and the Fort Lauderdale/ Broward County Convention Center. (This does not include airport transportation).
We communicate with all of our contracted hotels to confirm room descriptions,
available amenities, and parking fees before publication of this
information. However, this information is subject to change and cannot be
guaranteed.
