The Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward County Convention Center
The center has elevators, restrooms, concessions, and telephones designed to accommodate the needs of those with physical and non-physical impairments.
All meeting rooms will be set with wide aisles to facilitate access and egress of mobility equipment; staging will be equipped with ramps for wheeled access.
Local Airports
Fort Lauderdale—Hollywood International Airport
- All terminals can be accessed from the Garage Complex and roadways. Wheelchair access to all terminals is on level 1 or level 4 on the west end of the Garage Complex. Curb cuts, ramps, level entrances, elevators and automatic doors are provided.
- Phones are in the ticket lobbies, concourses and baggage claim level. Amplified phones are available at each location. TTY phones for passengers with hearing and speech impairments are available in each terminal building. Locations are designated at each public phone bank.
- Taxicabs provide transportation for passengers with folding wheelchairs at no surcharge. Wheelchair accessible vans are available at no extra charge, advanced notice recommended. Call Yellow Cab wheelchair taxi dispatch at (954) 565-2800/5400.
- Share Ride/Tri County Airport Express provides wheelchair lift equipped vans at no extra charge; advance notice recommended. For evening and weekend advance notice call Tri County Airport Express at (954) 561-8888 or (800) 244-8252.
- For additional information on Airport services for disabled travelers, please call the Broward County Aviation Department at (954) 359-1030.
Miami International Airport
- Accessible Transit Pickup (ATP) Doors: the Aviation Department has designated doors to assist patrons in coordinating pick-up and drop-off locations with STS (Paratransit/Special Transportation Services).
- MIA offers visual paging for the hearing impaired. The system is currently operational at the U.S. Customs exit at Concourse B and at Concourse E on the ticketing level. Additional locations will be added throughout the MIA terminal as flight display systems are upgraded.MIA has TTY telephones at selected telephone banks throughout the terminal. At telephone banks where there is not a TTY, you will find directions to the closest TTY location. For additional TTY information, please call (305) 876-0594. Passengers may also dial 7-1-1 from any phone to contact the Florida Relay Service.
- Taxis are available with wheelchair lifts. Patrons in need of this service should request an equipped taxi upon arrival at the ground level curbside area. Please allow a reasonable amount of additional time to call an equipped vehicle from the holding lot, located just outside the terminal area. Drivers will assist patrons with baggage.
- SuperShuttle shared-ride vans are available with wheelchair lifts. Passengers seeking to reserve a wheelchair lift-equipped shared-ride van may contact SuperShuttle at (305) 871-2000, or see the curbside representative at the Ground Transportation kiosk to request an accessible van. Please allow a reasonable amount of additional time to call an equipped vehicle from the holding area, located just outside the airport. Drivers will assist patrons with baggage.

Palm Beach International Airport
- Wheelchairs are available through respective airlines.
- TDD phones are available on Level Three East and Level One West. For further information please use the courtesy phone.
- Passengers traveling through Palm Beach International Airport may receive assistance from Airport Ambassadors located throughout the terminal. Very visible in their teal colored jackets, the ambassadors are available to assist travelers with their information requirements.
Public Transportation
Broward County Transit (BCT) is committed to providing visitors with valued transportation services. Services extend to customers with special needs due to age or disabilities. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), all BCT buses are wheelchair accessible and our bus operators provide assistance upon request.
