Sustainable & Local Economy
Currently our economy is unidirectional, disposable, and globalized. Our energy comes from digging up and burning fossil fuels that were created millions of years ago. The items we use are designed to be single- or limited use and end up in landfill and/or polluting the oceans. Our globalized economy wastes resources and treats workers like. There are, however, other ways to live.
- Green Jobs
Investing in jobs/infrastructure that support renewable sources of energy and more efficient design
- Renewable and Local Energy
Switching from non-renewable fossil fuels to renewable sources of energy
- Ethical Eating
Food choices in right relationship with the earth, plants & animals, and other human beings
- Community-Based Economics
Better for the Earth; better for workers
- Voluntary Simplicity
Replacing consumerism with a simpler, more spiritually satisfying life
