Chris Casuccio

Chris Casuccio was responsible for planning, developing, and supporting the Unitarian Universalist College of Social Justice’s (UUCSJ’s) experiential learning programs in a variety of locations. As the senior associate for immersion-learning programs, Chris designed programs that motivated participants to join related social justice campaigns.

Over the last decade, Chris worked to build coherent frameworks for understanding the complexities of our global situation and to empower individuals and communities to deeply engage with spirituality, justice, and self-development. Prior to joining UUCSJ, he spent several years leading U.S. teenagers on experiential and service-learning programs in Central America with Where There Be Dragons. He also served as a program officer with the Fulbright program, demanded change as an activist with Occupy Wall Street (specifically Strike Debt and the Rolling Jubilee), and helped to strengthen a multitude of projects alongside grassroots communities in Central America.

Dedicated to working and learning from community-based education projects, Chris has a dual bachelor’s degree in philosophy and history and a master’s degree in media and communications.
