Central MidWest, Heartland and Prairie Star Districts are in a process of change. For several years, we have been providing services by working collaboratively, and on July 1, 2013, we will make that official by combining our talents and resources in programming into one combined administrative and program delivery structure. The staff of all three Districts will then become the MidAmerica staff. Working in new ways, we will still seek to grow Unitarian Universalism in MidAmerica, and to help congregations transform the lives of people inside and outside their congregations. In their District Assemblies in April 2013, the three Districts will bring before the member congregations the question of whether to change the governance structure to create a single regional governing body. If decided in the affirmative, that change will also take place July 1, 2013.
The Heartland District includes fifty-six societies and covers all or part of four states: Kentucky, Michigan's Lower Peninsula, western Ohio, and Indiana.
